K'Ogalo have issued key directions ahead of their final home match of the season against Kenya Police FC.
Record FKF Premier League champions Gor Mahia have announced sweeping matchday changes ahead of their final home fixture of the 2024/2025 season against Kenya Police FC.
In a bold move aimed at streamlining club operations, Gor Mahia have resolved that no stewards, branch representatives, or even the club’s own security team will be stationed at the gates during their upcoming home match.

Instead, the management will deploy alternative security personnel to take full charge of the venue during the high-profile clash.
“This is a unanimous decision by the management,” a club statement read.
“During our home matches, all gates shall be free of stewards, branch representatives, and Gor Mahia security until further notice.”
E-Ticketing to Continue, Apology for Derby Confusion
)
The club also confirmed that the e-ticketing system, which was initiated earlier in the season, will remain in place.
This digital platform will continue to be the only method of purchasing tickets, with no exceptions – not even for club officials.
“We urge all to use official link provided to purchase tickets well in advance to avoid last minute confusion. We strongly advise against paying anyone money to have access to the match venue,” the club emphasized.
“With no exclusion, everyone, including club officials, will buy their tickets to have access to all our home matches.”
The directive comes in the wake of the Mashemeji Derby held at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay on June 2, where a massive turnout was overshadowed by logistical issues at the gates.
“Our sincere apologies to fans for the mix-up and confusion at the gates. We commit to rectify this in our future matches to ease entry at match venues,” the club said.
Despite the hiccup, Gor Mahia lauded fans for their exemplary behavior and support.
“We want to thank all fans who showed up at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay for the Mashemeji Derby on 2nd June 2025 for the good behaviour and maintaining peace thus providing a perfect atmosphere for a historic Derby.”
Branch Affiliations and Steward Elections
)
In a separate move, the club is also seeking to consolidate its nationwide fan base by directing all branches to pay a KSh. 20,000 affiliation fee and conduct internal elections within 60 days. Each branch is required to have at least 50 active, registered members.
“Branches will be required to nominate two stewards who will then elect their officials. Nominated stewards will be required to possess a valid certificate of good conduct. The role of stewards will purely be field control,” the directive read.
Gor Mahia continues to set standards both on and off the pitch and the upcoming match against Kenya Police FC will not only be a test of their title credentials but also a litmus test for their new operational model.
