Terem Moffi in a transfer see-saw as Nice plan to land the Nigerian, before sanctioning the sale of Algerian Andy Delort.
Nice are reportedly stalling on the sale of Andy Delort to Nantes as they look to confirm his replacement, Terem Moffi, before sanctioning the deal.
The 23-year-old Nigerian striker, whose stellar form for Lorient this season has earned him suitors throughout the transfer window, is Nice's top transfer target, and they plan to land him before letting their 31-year-old Algerian striker, Delort, join fellow Ligue 1 side Nantes.
Nice want to land Moffi
Nice are hot on the trail of Lorient and Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi.
Les Aiglons have already had two bids turned down for the striker, one for €15 million and another for €18 million.

The Ligue 1 side are said to not be giving up on the chase, as they are still at the negotiating table.
The club expects to land Moffi, who is reported to prefer staying in France to making a move abroad, with West Ham also looking to land the striker, as previously reported by Pulse Sports

Nantes have placed a bid of around €7 million for Nice's Andy Delort; however, Les Canarias would have to wait to get their man, as Nice want to land Moffi before sanctioning Delort's departure. According to L'Equipe
A Nigerian for an Algerian
Andy Delort joined Nice in the summer of 2021 and has been very prolific for them.
He has scored 25 goals in 55 games; coupled with his five assists, his 30 goals and assists are more than a direct goal contribution every other game.
Delort's 18 goals in Ligue 1 last season, a tally bettered by only four players, helped Nice qualify for the UEFA Conference League.
The Algerian is also banging in the goals this season, with six goals in nine starts. However, Nice seek to replace the aging striker with a younger Terem Moffi.
Moffi is finding the back of the net at an impressive rate this season. The Calabar-born striker has scored 12 Ligue 1 goals this season, only Kylian Mbappe has more.
