Coach Charles Odera cites two key reasons for Muhoroni Youth's 3-0 defeat to Bidco United.

As Muhoroni Youth FC faced off against Bidco United on a sunny Wednesday afternoon fans were hopeful for a positive outcome.

However, the outcome was not what the Muhoroni supporters had envisioned, as their team succumbed to a 3-0 defeat, leaving them hanging precariously in the 15th position with only eight points on the board.

Bidco's performance was one for the books. Eric Michibu set the tone with an early strike in the sixth minute. This was followed by relentless assaults from Chris Opondo and Thomas Wainana, both of whom found the net in quick succession, ensuring a commanding lead for Bidco by halftime.

However, post-match comments from Muhoroni Youth's coach Charles Odera provided a clearer perspective on what might have gone wrong for his side.

"It was a bad day for the boys and in the first half, they made mistakes which I believe came from the traveling fatigue that cost us. When they came into the game, their shape was not so good,” Odera remarked, shedding light on the factors that might have contributed to the team's performance.

The coach further emphasized the tactical approach during the match.

“Our tactical approach was on point. It wasn't that we were not prepared or had the wrong strategy. The issue was the players lacked concentration in the opening moments of the game,” Odera added.

Despite the disheartening first half, Muhoroni did make a commendable recovery post the break. Their defense tightened, and they managed to keep Bidco at bay, ensuring no further goals were conceded.

However, the bigger picture for Muhoroni Youth is not very rosy. Their current season's stats show a team struggling to find their rhythm.

With just one victory in nine matches, accompanied by five draws and three losses, there is a looming cloud of uncertainty about their future prospects. Scoring has also been a major concern, having netted only four times this season.

But in football, hope springs eternal. Muhoroni has another opportunity to turn things around in their upcoming game against Kakamega Homeboyz at Muhoroni Stadium.

The clash, scheduled for Sunday, is being touted as a challenging encounter for both sides. Kakamega Homeboyz, known for their aggressive play and tight defense, will be a true test for Muhoroni's mettle.
