Kenya Police midfielder Mohammed Bajaber is eyeing a crucial title run-in following an emphatic return from injury.

The Harambee Stars ace, who forged himself into a cult hero with his showing in Kenya's outing during the March international break, faced a period on the sidelines following a short spell with Police after his international duties.

While he featured for the Law Enforcers in the first few matches back from international duty, he has since been sidelined with injury, returning just recently.

The midfielder has been a key miss for the FKF Premier League leaders, but the Etienne Ndayiragije-coached side have done well to keep their place at the summit despite his absence.

Bajaber's return will be a welcome sight for the title chasers, who are in a thrilling three-way battle with Gor Mahia and Tusker.

Bajaber made his return on Friday as Police overcame Bandari 1-0 to extend their stay at the top.

The former Nairobi City Stars man played a crucial role, with Marvin Nabwire netting the winner.

Bajaber and Co. now turn their attention to Wednesday for their clash against Kakamega Homeboyz, with the midfielder eyeing the scalp.

"Finally back on the pitch after some time on the injury list. Great win away as we keep our eyes on the end goal. Onto Wednesday," wrote Bajaber via his Instagram.

A win on Wednesday will take them closer to the title as they aim to pull away from Gor Mahia and Tusker.

Their win against Bandari took Police to 58 points, three clear at the top with just four games to go.

Tusker trail the league leaders in second with 55 points, while Gor Mahia sit in third with 53 points but with a game in hand on both teams.
