Harambee Stars forward Mohammed Bajaber may be enduring a goal drought for Kenya Police but his popularity is still high going by how he was mobbed by fans in Mombasa on Friday.

Harambee Stars attacker Mohammed Bajaber is proving to be quite popular among fans going by the huge following he is enjoying.

The Kenya Police star has been getting plenty of love from supporters, especially since the March international window, when he played a starring role for Harambee Stars in their World Cup qualifiers against The Gambia and Gabon.

That has been translated at his club and on Friday, it was on full display when he was mobbed by fans after Police’s 1-0 victory against Bandari in an FKF Premier League match in Mombasa.

After the match, fans, both young and old, in the coastal city lined up to embrace Bajaber who had played a role in the win while others took photos with him in what was a lovely scene.

Marvin Nabwire proved to be the match winner for a second game in a row for Kenya Police as he scored the only goal which saw the law enforcers open up a five-point lead at the top of the table.

It was the third straight league win for Police, who have moved back on top with 58 points from 30 matches, five more than second -placed Gor Mahia and six better than Tusker in third, although they have played a game more.

On a personal note, however, Bajaber has now gone six games without scoring, having managed four goals in his first five games for Police, but that has not lowered his popularity among fans.
