“Grass is beginning to grow. It is going to be well-manicured and the landscaping is going to be top notch and top facility,” the former Al Duhail striker said.
“This whole football pitch will have proper drainage and that is why you see all across, the drainage is running throughout. When the rain falls, the water sips down and then we have pipes laid underground that are going to see out this drainage.
“We also have underground pop-up sprinklers, most of you have seen them in these fantastic stadiums all over the world so whenever we have a game, it just has points where they can pop up and they are running all over this football pitch.”

Michael Olunga: How Rumoured Next Club Could See Him Follow Dennis Oliceh’s Footsteps in Qatar
Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga is reportedly close to landing a new club in Qatar but what is the connection between the rumoured team and Dennis Oliech?
The facility is being built on a five-acre piece of land and has other buildings which will serve different purposes such as changing rooms, accommodation and offices once complete.
Why Did Harambee Stars Skipper opt to Build This Facility?
Olunga then painted the sorry state of football infrastructure in Kenya that forced him to go an extra mile to ensure the next generation of players in the country have better facilities to hone their skills.
“We want to be the game changers, we want this facility to be the best and produce good talent because for the longest time, infrastructure has always let us down as Kenya in terms of football pitch, the surfaces we play on. So, we want this to be one of a kind and that is why we are bringing a modern facility,” he added.
Olunga’s facility is also well protected with a concrete wall, electric fence and fitted with CCTV cameras while work is underway to drill a borehole that will provide constant supply of water, which will be stored in an underground tank capable of holding 5,000 litres.
