Confusion Surrounds Harambee Starlets Coach Beldine Odemba
Confusion surrounds Harambee Starlets coach Beldine Odemba after she named Kenya’s squad for the CECAFA Women’s Championship.
They went on to describe the opportunity as a major step in line with MOFA’s mission to produce globally competitive athletes through a blend of sport, education, and character development.
The former Ringa Boys High School striker is expected to travel to Stockholm on July 5, 2025.

MOFA’s Strong Ties to Swedish Football
In 2024, Pulse Sports reported that Michael Olunga, who is the owner of the club, was in talks with Swedish outfit AFC Eskilstuna, a club he was seeking to use to then create an affiliation with his Kenyan team, although the deal never materialised.
However, the club has been using Sweden as a ladder to promote Kenyan talents abroad, nine years since Olunga himself signed for Djurgarden FC after his goalscoring exploits for Gor Mahia.
Since then, Sweden has served as a springboard for numerous academy graduates aiming to emulate his success.
