Garnacho was among the beneficiaries of the injuries in Ten Hag’s squad as he started on the left of the Red Devils’ attack with Marcus Rashford on the right while Anthony Martial got a rare start up front in the absence of the injured Rasmus Hojlund.
"I can't believe it to be honest. I said: 'oh my God,” Garnacho said after the match. “I can't believe it to be honest. I didn’t see how I scored, I just listened to the crowd… it's still November, but probably one of goals of the season."
United went on to win the match 3-0 with Marcus Rashford converting a penalty before Anthony Martial slotting in another to complete the rout.
