Manchester United fans have urged the club to return Mason Greenwood to the club after he scored a goal of the season contender for Getafe during their game against Almeria
Manchester United fans were left ruing the club’s decision to let Mason Greenwood depart when the forward scored a wondergoal as Getafe came from behind to beat Almeria 2-1 in La Liga on Sunday.
Almeria struck first when Adrian Embarba flicked a header towards the far post from a corner and Largie Ramazani couldn’t miss from a yard out.
However, Getafe restored parity as Greenwood drifted in from the right wing onto his left foot and unleashed a thunderous angled drive into the top corner to make it level the scores.

Greenwood, who has four goals and three assists in all competitions, was loaned out to Getafe on deadline day in the summer transfer window after United decided against reintegrating him into the squad after completing an internal investigation over his alleged rape and assault charges.
The forward had charges of rape and assault against a woman dropped by a Manchester court in February but United conducted their own investigation before making the decision in August.
Greenwood has not played for United since January 2022 when he was suspended by the club in the wake of the grave allegations against him.
