Manchester United have reportedly identified three managers that the club is looking at with a view to replace under fire Erik ten Hag at the end of the season.
England manager Gareth Southgate, Brighton’s Roberto de Zerbi and his Brentford counterpart Thomas Frank are the three coaches reportedly being assessed by Manchester United with the view to taking over from Erik ten Hag.
Ten Hag’s future is up in the air following a spate of poor performances this season which has left him in danger of getting sacked at the end of the season.
Reports in the UK say United players believe Ten Hag will be sacked in the summer, one year before his contract ends, and Southgate, De Zerbi and Frank have now emerged as the candidates the club is considering.

Man united better under Solskjaer than Ten Hag — Fabregas
Former and Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas draws a contrast between Manchester United's period under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and their current boss Erik ten Hag.
Southgate has been lauded for the work he has done with England, taking them to the semi-final of the 2018 World Cup and the delayed Euro 2020 final, while De Zerbi and Frank have implemented an exciting style of football at Brighton and Brentford respectively.
Ten Hag has no assurances about his future following the purchase of a 27.7 per cent stake in United by British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe whose INEOS team has taken control of all football operations at the club.
Ratcliffe did not also offer the Dutchman any guarantees during a recent interview and the poor results, which appears set to lock the Red Devils out of the Champions League, are not helping his cause.
Ten Hag has also been slammed for his tactics with the style of play questioned this season, adding pressure to his position.
INEOS, who have brought in former Manchester City director Omar Berrada as the club's new CEO, and negotiating Dan Ashworth's release from Newcastle in the hope of making him sporting director, are believed to be considering a change of manager at the end of the season.
