Modric set to extend Madrid stay

According to reports from Daily Mail, the 2018 Ballon d’Or winner will extend his contract with Real Madrid after being linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.

Modric, who is above retirement age, played 51 games in all competitions last season and has remained a key member of Ancelotti's squad.

Since moving to the Spanish capital for £30 million from Tottenham over ten years ago, he has experienced great success.

In 488 games for the club, he has won LaLiga three times, the Champions League five times, and the Copa del Rey twice, among other awards.

Modric offered huge contract from Saudi Arabia

Modric, who is yet to sign a new contract with Real Madrid, was offered a huge contract to move to Saudi Arabia.

Gianluca Di Marzio, a reporter, claimed that Modric turned down an offer of €200 million (£170 million) over three years from Al-Hilal in favour of staying with Real for the upcoming campaign.

It was believed that Real would be willing to let Modric leave once they had signed Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund for £113 million.

Instead, he has become the most famous person to reject a move to the Saudi Premier League and decide to stay in Spain.
