He has scored 12 goals in nine matches since joining Manchester United at the start of the current season.
Obi-Martin's performance came shortly after news of Kai Havertz's injury, which led some Arsenal fans to suggest Obi-Martin would have had a first-team opportunity if he had stayed with the Gunners.

Obi-Martin responded to the criticism with a post on his Instagram story, saying "Love this club," after reposting a post from Manchester United celebrating his hat trick against Chelsea on Wednesday night.
The Danish-born Nigerian initially gained attention after his prolific scoring in Arsenal's youth teams, including scoring 10 goals in a 14-3 victory over Liverpool's U16 team in November 2023.
