Kevin De Bruyne has revealed harsh treatment he received from Manchester City
Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has expressed his disappointment over not receiving a new contract offer from the club, stating it "wasn't nice" to find out his services would no longer be needed beyond his current deal.
Speaking after City's 2-0 win at Everton, De Bruyne revealed he was surprised by the decision.
He said, “I didn't have any offer from them through the whole year and the club made a decision. Obviously, I was a bit surprised but I have to accept it."
Despite struggling with form and injuries, De Bruyne believes he still has much to offer, telling club officials.
He continued, “I feel like I still have a lot to give. I know I'm not 25 anymore, but I still feel like I can do my job."
