Kennedy Owino's potential move to AFC Leopards creates buzz, as Posta Rangers coach remains unfazed by transfer rumors.

Posta Rangers central defender Kennedy Owino has emphatically refuted rumors linking him to a potential move to AFC Leopards.

The local football scene has been buzzing with speculations regarding Owino's future but the player himself has firmly denied receiving any offers from Ingwe.

Owino, a former Western Stima player, has played a pivotal role in Posta Rangers' impressive run in the ongoing Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL).

Posta enjoyed a spell at the summit of the table before Gor Mahia claimed the top spot.

"I just heard about it now. I haven't heard anything yet, but if I do, I will communicate," said Owino as per Sports Eye Kenya.

Posta Rangers head coach John Kamau also chimed in on the matter, dismissing the rumors while emphasizing his commitment to developing players.

"If they are such kinds of rumors, I am known as a developer, and I don't have fear of any player leaving the team," Kamau told reporters.

The rumor mill was set ablaze, especially on social media, with reports suggesting that Owino, the captain of the side, was the primary transfer target for AFC Leopards, a club that has been struggling in recent times.

Owino boasts an extensive career in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League, having played for several clubs, including the now-defunct side Sony Sugar.

Posta Rangers have had a commendable season thus far, with seven victories in their 14 matches.

The Mailmen have suffered only two defeats and managed to secure five draws, positioning them in a respectable third place on the league table.

Notably, they hold the strongest goal difference in the league, with a positive 10, a statistic that could propel them to glory if they maintain their current form.

Looking ahead, Posta Rangers are gearing up to face Muhoroni Youth at the Kasarani Annex this Sunday.

This match will be closely watched by fans and pundits alike, as Posta aim to continue their impressive run and solidify their position in the league standings.
