Namwamba has confirmed that the ministry has agreed on a “robust” partnership with NSA to grow Kenyan youth football.

Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba has confirmed that Nastic Soccer Academy will help take in the top football talents from across the country every year to help them continue honing their skills in the quest to become professional footballers.

Namwamba invited the academy’s leaders, Jose Manuel Dias and Javier Sanz - the leaders of the academy - to come and witness the Talana Hela final taking place at the Nyayo National Stadium with an eye on identifying and absorbing the best soccer talents.

Speaking on his X (formerly Twitter)- handle, Namwamba revealed he was “pleased” to host them, further adding that the ministry has agreed on a “robust” partnership with Nastic to grow Kenyan football.

“Pleased to host Jose Manuel Dias and Javier Sanz, leaders of the Nastic Soccer Academy (NSA) of Tarragona, Spain who are in Kenya as my guests to grace the #TalantaHelaTrophyFinals at Nyayo Stadium today (Tuesday),” Namwamba wrote

“We have agreed on a robust partnership with NSA to grow Kenya's youth football. Ababu Namwamba.”

Back in August, the academy offered scholarships to three Kenyan players, namely boy wonder attacking midfielder Aldrine Kibet, Alvin Kasavuli, and Junior Stars captain and defender Amos Wanjala.

The Nastic Soccer Academy, with its rich history spanning 135 years, has a proud tradition of nurturing top talents.

With its state-of-the-art facilities and a team of elite and experienced coaches, the academy provides the perfect environment for players to further refine their skills and chase their dreams of making it big in European football.
