The club has outlined how the it intends to implement the electronic ticketing system following the announcement that the club will abandon the traditional gate collection for their FKFPL fixture against Talanta on Thursday, April 24.

The FKFPL giants join the likes of Shabana FC and AFC Leopards, who have had trial runs with the E-ticketing system.

Shabana especially has enjoyed much success in matchday revenue collections with the system, witnessing record collections nearly at every home game in Gusii Stadium.

Gor Mahia now hope to replicate this success with their new ticketing system.

“It’s the way to go. Our competitors, Shabana and AFC Leopards, they're ahead of us,” acknowledged Arum in regards to the implementation of the electronic ticketing system, hoping to go in the same direction.

The SG added that the initiative was also inspired by a desire to scrap the old and bring in the new, stating, “We’re seeing what was being done in the gates. Everybody now wants to manage the gates, and we also have the old guards."

Arum continued to reveal plans to involve the fans in gate management during match days.

“The system we want to do is that we want to use our customers to man the gates. And the first customers of Gor Mahia are members at the branches,” he said.
