"Today, I am here, first of all, to talk to the players, to give them assurances that we are going to address all these issues that appear to be arising from some friction on the bench," said Rachier via Gor Mahia Media on Tuesday, April 22.

"So I've already addressed both the bench and the players together, calling for unity between them so that we can win our trophies as necessary," he added.

"Following that also, I have addressed the players individually, separately, talking about the need for discipline and, particularly, respect for authority so that even if they may think that their superiors are wrong in any way, they should just concentrate on playing football. That was the gist of my message to them."

The Gor Mahia camp has recently been unsettled by an alleged altercation between Coach Sinisa Mihic and his backroom staff, as well as assistant Zedekiah 'Zico' Otieno.

The Croatian tactician has previously alleged sabotage from his technical bench, as reported by Pulse Sports.

The fallout reached its boiling point when Mihic stormed out of Dandora Stadium on Saturday as Gor Mahia were held to a 1-1 draw against Sofapaka.

Reports indicate that a breakdown in communication between Mihic, who was in the stands serving a three-match ban, and his technical bench led to the Croatian's outburst.

"That is football. I mean, football comes with a lot of emotion. And then on the other side, everything happened quickly. Everything is under big tension, stress. So sometimes you react— all of us have some reactions that are very extreme, you know," said Mihic speaking at the same time as Rachier.

"But sometimes you also react to wake up the team, yes, or for something else. Even as a coach, you get a red card because you want to create some pressure on someone, because you see something going wrong. So you sacrifice yourself."

"We discussed today those things with the technical bench, with the players, and we go again tomorrow for training. We forget everything. We are strong. We believe in ourselves, and I believe we will reach everything we want," said Mihic.

Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier has, however, vowed to get to the bottom of the conflict.

The Gor Mahia boss has called for an executive meeting on Wednesday, April 23 that will address the issue.

"I have called for a full executive committee meeting with the entire technical bench so that I can find out where the blame lies and also urge them on the need to act in unison so that we achieve our goal. That meeting is pending because only two of us were available today. The others have been away for different reasons," said Raichier

This comes at a critical point for Gor Mahia, who are placed third on the log, playing catch-up with Tusker and Police, with just a four-point difference between them and the summit.
