Nigeria's goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has a new look after that ill-fated performance against Zimbabwe in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier, WCQ.

Nigerian goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has made a bold statement following the stunning goal he conceded against Zimbabwe in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier, WCQ.

Uzoho has now reacted to the goal by taking matters into his own hands in a dramatic display of emotion.

Uzoho vs Zimbabwe

The move by the Super Eagles goalkeeper came in the aftermath of the crucial World Cup qualifier against the Warriors of Zimbabwe last week.

Uzoho was beaten from 35 yards by Zimbabwe’s Walter Musona as the Warriors held Nigeria’s Eagles to give the hosts a shock 1-0 lead.

Francis Uzoho has conceded 7 goals in 7 matches.

The goal was the latest incident for the 24-year-old who has come under heavy criticism for his poor performances in the Super Eagles.

Kelechi Iheanacho came on to save his blushes with an equaliser in the 67th as Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup suffered another setback.

Uzoho reacts

Nigerians took to social media to react to the shock goal which saw the Super Eagles register back-to-back draws in the WCQ.

Days after the game, Uzoho, who deleted his X.com account due to attacks from Nigerians, has now reacted to the goal.

In a video posted on Instagram by naija_sports, Uzoho chose a unique way to channel his reaction, with the caption “E shock me too, no worry,” an obvious reference to Musona’s screamer.

Nigeria currently sits third in their 2026 FIFA WCQ, with two points from a possible six.

Rwanda’s shock win against South Africa sees them as group leaders with four points while Bafana Bafana are just a point below in third.
