Football Kenya Federation FKF have dismissed speculation linking Benni McCarthy with a possible return to South Africa.
The former Mancester United assistant coach seems to be settled in Kenya after taking the harambee Stars coaching role in March but speculation rearding is future continue to swirl.
FKF Head of Communications, Media, and Public Relations Jeff Kinyanjui has dismissed rumours linking Harambee Stars head coach Benni McCarthy with an exit.

"Benni is still contracted to the Football Kenya Federation as the Harambee Stars coach. No, we haven’t received anything; Benni is contracted to the FKF," Kinyanjui told goal.

The former Bafana Bafana striker who is regarded as the nation's greatest player of all time has indicated his desire to be part of Harambee Stars for long.
He maintained that he is contracted to Kenya until 2027, when East Africa is set to host the Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
"I think the project they sold me was that they want to build a team from now up until 2027, when they host the African Nations Cup. They want to be able to compete and establish a strong foothold in African football," McCarthy highlighted.
"We could get the team ready for 2027 when they host the Nations Cup, and we could have a strong say in how the tournament unfolds and how far we can take Kenya—somewhere they’ve never been before. That looked like a decent project for my team and me, and that’s why, Kenya."

Orlando Pirates are expected to appoint a new head coach as Jose Riveiro leaves his position. With this development, McCarthy has been linked with a move to his former club.
The former Champions league winner has overseen two matches for Kenya already: a 3-3 draw with Gambia and a 2-1 loss to Gabon in March 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
McCarthy who played for Blackburn and West am in the English Premier League, is set to prepare Harambee Stars for the African Nations Championship (CHAN), which will be hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
