Under this program, BetPawa has allocated a substantial sum of USD 80,000 [approx. UGX 298 million] to be shared among the players comprising the matchday squad.

BetPawa has unveiled a generous initiative known as the Locker Room bonus, which is set to benefit players in a significant way.

Players participating in the FUFA Drum and the BetPawa Futsal League will be the primary beneficiaries of this financial boost.

For each match played, individuals in the matchday squad will receive UGX 150,000, a gesture that is expected to enhance their dedication and enthusiasm on the field.

“The players who make the squad list per match will get cash tokens sent to their phones after the game if their team wins.”

“We are setting aside 25% of the value of this partnership towards this LRB," explained Mouyelo on his part.

“This partnership is a significant investment in our local players and teams, and together, we can enhance the experience for fans and players alike.”

This comprehensive partnership between BetPawa and Ugandan football covers three major competitions: the FUFA Drum, FUFA Big League, and the Futsal Super League.

The agreement extends for the duration of the 2023/24 football season. During this period, the Big League will be officially referred to as the BetPawa Big League, while the Futsal League will carry the name BetPawa Futsal League.

The financial benefits offered by BetPawa are substantial, with the Big League and the FUFA Drum each receiving USD 150,000 (approximately UGX 560 million), while the Futsal League will enjoy USD 20,000 (UGX 70 million) in sponsorship.

BetPawa has also committed to sponsor various awards which encompass a wide range of categories, including the prestigious Man of the Match, Best Goalkeeper, Best Coach, Best Player of the Season, Most Assists, and Young Player of the Season.

This comprehensive sponsorship demonstrates BetPawa's dedication to fostering talent, recognizing excellence, and enriching the footballing experience in Uganda.

The Locker Room bonus isn't the only initiative BetPawa is embarking on. The company has also extended its support to journalists, promising them fully paid trips to prestigious football tournaments.

Starting with the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast, BetPawa will sponsor journalists' attendance, allowing them to provide comprehensive coverage of these high-profile events.
