Reports suggest Arsenal are considering a surprise move for an unsettled Chelsea forward.

Arsenal are reportedly considering a surprise move for Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku

Despite reaching the Champions League semi-finals, Mikel Arteta’s team have faced periods without key attackers such as Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus

While Mikel Merino has temporarily filled a centre-forward role, this is not seen as a long-term solution.

Will Chelsea sell Nkunku to Arsenal?

According to RMC Sport, Arsenal and club officials are contemplating a potential approach to Chelsea regarding Nkunku, having been considered by the club previously.

The former RB Leipzig forward has struggled to make a significant impact at Stamford Bridge since his arrival, often being deployed in a number nine role without consistent success.

He has also found himself out of the starting eleven and occasionally omitted from the squad entirely, suggesting a drop in the pecking order.

Despite a decent goalscoring record in the Europa Conference League earlier in the season, his Premier League contributions have been limited.

Chelsea may be open to considering offers for Nkunku in the summer transfer window, particularly with alternative attacking options available at the club.

Despite the rivalry between the two London clubs, the Blues have shown a willingness to conduct transfer business with Arsenal in recent times.

Players such as Havertz, Jorginho and Raheem Sterling have all moved to the Emirates Stadium from Stamford Bridge, even if the Englishman joined temporarily.
