Here is how AFC Leopards players fared during their 1-0 FKF Cup Round of 16 win over Shabana.

AFC Leopards will be facing Compel after beating a spirited Shabana 1-0  at the Jomo Kenyatta International stadium in Mamboleo, Kisumu to knock them out of the FKF Cup on Sunday afternoon.

In so doing, they made a step closer to achieving continental qualification after overcoming the struggling outfit.

But how did the players perform individually? Here is our ratings on how each player fared:

Levis Opiyo- 7

Did well in goal. Made crucial saves and was intelligent enough to waste time tactically whenever possible after Leopards took the lead.

He also kept a clean sheet, and generally was assured in goal

Randi Bakari - 6

Playing as a right back on the afternoon, Randy Bakari offered more solidity as a natural center back. He helped Leopards’ build up by dropping into the back three on occasion, which gave Kenyan international Vincent Mahiga freedom on the other flank to move forward.

Kennedy Owino -7

Playing as one of the two center backs, Owino showed why he was signed from Posta Rangers with a calm display partnering Kaycie Odhiambo for the first time.

Although Mathew Tegisi offered presence for Shabana, Owino was up to the task and combined well with Odhiambo

Kaycie Odhiambo- 9

The man of the match for his goal scoring performance, Odhiambo showed why he was called up to the national team in the recent international break.

Apart from his goal his ball playing capabilities, his set-piece deliveries with his right foot were superb on the afternoon, and his award was rightly deserved

Vincent Mahiga -6

Two international caps richer, Vincent Mahiga produced an energetic display, although he got away with a foul he made on Ezekiel Omuri inside the box in the first half.

He did not bomb forwards as much as possible, but contributed to the team defensively..

Boniface Kweyu - 6

Boniface Kweyu controlled the tempo of the game well but it was not a particularly outstanding display.

Musa Oundo - 6

Musa Oundo provided presence in midfield and covered the ground well.

Clifton Miheso -8

Provided the assist for Odhiambo’s goal, and won fouls regularly.

Jaffari Owiti - 5

Jaffari Owiti missed a huge chance early in the game, with his decision making lacking on so many situations before being rightfully subbed off for Luke Namanda.

Hassan Beja - 6

Hassan Beja stretched the Shabana defence in his usual style and won alot of fouls that won AFC  Leopards freekicks in good areas.

Arthur Gitego- 7

Arthur Gitego led the line well and linked play decently, showing this side of his game is getting better, and also hit the post in the first half.

Luke Namanda- 6

Namamnda came on as a Substutute and tracked back well, helping Leopards maintain the win.

Victor Otieno - 6

A huge opportunity for Otieno to win Tomas Trucha’s trust considering he has played a peripheral role under his stewardship, Otieno was front footed and tried to make things happen, but his passing in the final third would have been better.

Kevin Kimani- 5

Kevin Kimani did more defensive work than offensive work as Leopards were made to work hard to defend their lead.

Aziz Okaka -N/A

Victor Omune - N/A
