Cristiano Ronaldo is known for his on-pitch brilliance, but away from the game, he is just as impactful. One moment that melted hearts came when he surprised Nuhazet, a young boy battling cancer in Spain. The meeting was arranged quietly, with Ronaldo showing up at the hospital unannounced.
The boy, a lifelong Real Madrid fan, could barely believe his eyes when Ronaldo walked in. The two spent time talking, taking pictures, and sharing laughs. Ronaldo even gave the boy a signed shirt and promised to dedicate his next goal to him, which, of course, he did. It was a simple gesture, but for Nuhazet, it meant the world.
2. Sadio Mané returns to his hometown school
Sadio Mane has always stayed grounded. Despite global fame, he never forgot his roots in Bambali, Senegal. In 2022, he stunned students by turning up at his old school, unannounced, during their morning assembly.
Not only did he visit, but he came bearing gifts, including laptops, books, and plans to build a new computer lab. The kids were in awe, with some even too shy to speak, while others cried tears of joy.
This is one of the many things the forward has done in his hometown, having also built a stadium.
3. Lionel Messi surprise fans at traffic light

Lionel Messi and his wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, delighted young fans at a Miami traffic light.
While driving through the city with their children, Messi and Roccuzzo were approached by enthusiastic boys from the Galacticos Soccer Academy of Naples, Florida.
The boys, thrilled to spot their idol, waved excitedly, and to their amazement, Messi rolled down his window and initiated a friendly conversation, asking about their tournament and team. The boys shared that they had just lost a match, to which Messi responded with encouragement.
4. Marcus Rashford warms hearts with lockdown chat to United fans
During the height of the COVID-19 lockdown, when the world felt a little disconnected and uncertain, Marcus Rashford was doing more than just donating millions to feed schoolchildren, as he was bringing fans a much-needed human touch.
In one particularly touching moment, Rashford surprised two Manchester United supporters with a casual video call: one a wide-eyed young fan, the other an elderly lifelong Red Devil. Both were stunned and deeply moved to be face-to-face with their footballing hero.
This is one of the many good deeds done by Rashford, who once rented out his building to a bankrupt Manchester United legend at a friendly rate.
5. Mohamed Salah drops in on a young fan recovering from injury
After a terrifying fall that left 11-year-old Louis Fowler with a broken nose, all while trying to chase Salah’s car for a photo, the Liverpool forward did something special.
Hearing about the incident on social media, the Liverpool star made his way to Louis’s house the next day. He posed for pictures, signed his jersey, and even kicked the ball around in the garden.
Louis later said he forgot all about the pain the moment Salah walked in. “He’s my hero, and he made me feel like I mattered.”
6. Roberto Carlos surprises Real Madrid fans
Real Madrid legend Roberto Carlos brought tears and cheers when he surprised a group of lifelong fans during a stadium tour at the Santiago Bernabéu in partnership with Nivea Men.
As the unsuspecting supporters admired the club’s trophy room, the Brazilian icon casually walked in, leaving jaws on the floor. He took time to pose for photos, sign shirts, and share memories from his playing days.
7. Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah surprise Isaac
Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah gave young Liverpool fan Isaac a day he will never forget. Battling a serious illness, Isaac believed he was just getting a behind-the-scenes tour of Anfield, but things took a magical turn when his two heroes appeared out of nowhere.
Van Dijk greeted him with a warm hug, while Salah handed over a personalised Liverpool shirt. The pair spent time chatting and cracking jokes and even kicked the ball around with him inside the stadium.
Isaac’s joy was clear as he beamed from ear to ear, with his mum revealing she had not seen him smile like that in months.
