Concerns have undoubtedly been raised over Karim Benzema's recent fitness and form. The Frenchman was the best player in the world last season, but this year has not been successful due to his repeated absences from the field.
Another significant concern for Real Madrid right now is the lack of a backup option for Benzema with the likes of Mariano Diaz not good enough to serve as a backup to the striker.
Benzema signed for Real Madrid in the summer of 2009 and has been their key player since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. The French striker played a key role in the Champions League win last season.

Another striker is currently needed by Real Madrid. Lots of big name strikers have been linked with a move to Madrid but it never surfaced. They appear to be focusing on another well-known striker.
