Barnaba Korir has confirmed that the Ulinzi Sports Complex is ready and certified to host the Kip Keino Classic despite initial concerns.
Questions have swirled around the readiness of the Ulinzi Sports Complex ahead of the sixth edition of the Kip Keino Classic.
In previous years, the Kip Keino Classic has always been staged at either the Moi International Sports Stadium, Kasarani or Nyayo National Stadium, but the facilities are undergoing major renovations and cannot host the events.
The inaugural edition of the event in 2021 was held in Kasarani, with the next two editions also being hosted at the same venue. The 2024 edition of the event was held at the Nyayo National Stadium.
