World 100m champion Sha'Carri Richardson has hit out at track and field pages that are run by people who know nothing about the sport.

World 100m champion Sha’Carri Richardson has hit out at track and field social media pages that don’t know what they are doing.

Richardson posted on her X (Twitter) handle, lamenting how some of the pages have no clue of what they are doing, and warned fans not to entertain such pages.

“If y’all actually respect track & field, please stop entertaining & following these track pages that have no clue or credibility to what they are saying about the athletes y’all actually care for,” the World 200m bronze medallist said.

Some of her fans commented on the page asking which pages they would follow. Catarina Guimaraes asked: “Which pages should we be watching and following?”

Hillary Emcee added another comment saying: “It's funny cos I think I know exactly who she's talking about.”

Dora track n field added a comment saying: “T&F fans don’t care about the athletes, just here for the entertainment they bring, btw, you just gave those pages a week’s worth of content.”

“Thank you! Not all content has a place. They are the loudest, but not the brightest,” one of the fans commented.

Meanwhile, Richardson, who completed her 2023 season at the Prefontaine Classic, the Diamond League Meeting final will once again take to the track this season, with the hope of making this campaign impressive.

She will be joined by World 200m champion Shericka Jackson as they headline the 2024 Miramar Invitational in April.
