Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce did not have a fruitful Diamond League return as she finished fourth in Doha behind her Jamaican compatriots Tia and Tina Clayton.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce’s return to the Diamond League did not go according to plan as she finished fourth in 100m at the Doha Diamond League on Friday.

Returning to the Diamond League since 2022 and running in Doha since 2021, Fraser-Pryce was slow off the blocks and the result was fourth place in a race won by her Jamaican compatriot Tia Clayton ahead of her sister Tina while Amy Hunt of Great Britain was third.

The 38-year-old veteran, meanwhile, managed 11.05 seconds for fourth place in Doha in what will give her an outlook of what to work on for the rest of the season.

Fraser-Pryce was coming from the World Relays Championships where she teamed up with the Clayton sisters for a bronze medal in the 4x400m race.
