“Kiptum and his wife were doing very fine and the wife is still young and we are requesting support throughout her journey and even if a job can be given to the wife.

"We were at Kapkenda Girls High and they requested that a stadium in Chepkorio be built and that the school also construct a building in honour of Kiptum because that is his home,” he said.

He also expressed his heartfelt condolences as he lauded the government for building the late Kiptum’s family a house.

“I want to pass my condolences to Kelvin Kiptum’s family following the demise of the icon who lost his life at a very young age.

“I want to appreciate the President for allowing this to be a state function and catering for everything and we also appreciate that the government built Kiptum’s family a house. The house is already furnished and after the burial, the family will move into that house,” he said.
