Nollywood star Jegede accepts Enyimba's invitation after she revealed love for the club

It was all love and appreciation between Nigerian champions Enyimba FC and Nollywood superstar Yvonne Jegede on social media.

Enyimba and Jegede found each other after the actress revealed her love for the NPFL giants.

The 39-year-old is an award-winning actress in the Nigerian film industry known widely as Nollywood.

Jegede came into the limelight following an appearance as a vixen in the music video for the famous African Queen song music legend Tuface Idibia.

The Edo-born thespian began her journey in Nollywood a year before she was featured in the video by Tuface and has since starred in several other movies.

She has also added production to the many feathers on her cap, having produced her first movie eight years ago.

According to a post that made its way to the social media platform, X.com, Jegede revealed her love for Enyimba.

Per the movie star, the People’s Elephant are Nigeria’s biggest club and her favourite in the country.

“My favourite Nigerian team is @EnyimbaFC, they won #NPFL23,” she stated per the post by NigeriaPL.

“I am always supporting winners. I think Enyimba is the biggest Nigerian team. If you ask me, it is the most popular.”

Following her revelation, NPFL champions Enyimba took to their official account to reply, with the Aba millionaires acknowledging her support before going ahead to invite her to a game.

“Great to learn about your support, @iamyvonnejegede,” Enyimba said. “ What about having you as a special guest in one of our upcoming games? “

Jegede’s reply was quick and showed she was excited as she did not waste time accepting the invitation.

“Oh wow. That would be amazing. Looking forward to that,” she added.
