Noah Lyles Shares Surprise Details of His Upcoming Wedding With Junelle Bromfield
Track stars Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield are planning a unique, anime-inspired wedding for 2026, following their engagement last year.
Lyles, a multiple Olympic medalist for the United States, revealed to PEOPLE that he and his Jamaican Olympian fiancée have some "anime-related" surprises in store for their big day. The theme reflects a shared passion that Lyles introduced to Bromfield, though it had a rocky start.
The American sprinter admitted he initially struggled to get Bromfield into Manga, a key element of anime culture.

"I got her into Manga first and she didn't get into it," Lyles explained as quoted by Clutch Points. "But she told me later that the reason she didn't initially like it at first was because I forgot to tell her that you read it from right to left instead of left to right."
Bromfield Embraced Lyles’ Hobbies to Stay in Tune
Despite the initial confusion, Bromfield eventually embraced the medium. "She went back and started reading Manga by herself, and she started falling in love with it," Lyles added.
The athletic power couple began dating in 2022, reconnecting after a first date in 2018. Both are accomplished Olympians. Bromfield represented Jamaica at the 2024 Paris Olympics, competing in the women's 400m and the 4x400m relay.
Lyles also had a successful run in Paris, securing a gold medal in the men's 100m and a bronze in the 200m. These victories brought his total Olympic medal count to three, including a bronze from the 2020 Tokyo Games.
While their wedding is still months away, the couple is eagerly looking toward their future together. "When I think about spending my life with Noah, I feel very excited because I know there's so much the future holds for us," Bromfield shared in a previous interview.
Lyles echoed her sentiment, adding, "With the goal being that we grow old together, with great kids and great grandkids."
