Noah Lyles revealed that his issues with Kenny Bednarek involve him and his fiancée, Junelle Bromfield, noting that if he decides to share more information, he would have wronged her.

He pointed out that many fans assume that they know what happened, but the issue is deeper than they think, and he will only speak about it when it is the right time.

“I’m actually going to keep that personal…That’s just something that involves me and my woman, me and Junelle and right now, it’s just information that we don’t want to go too deep. A lot of the track world thinks they know, but it’s bigger and deeper than you just know,” Noah Lyles said in an interview with Speak Easy.

Noah Lyles: That Was Assault Right There

The reigning Olympic 100m champion added that he spoke to Kenny Bednarek after the incident, noting that it was an assault.

According to Noah Lyles, if someone decides to act in that way in a race, he knows that he has already come out a champion.

Noah Lyles further explained that he is not sure if there is rivalry between him and Kenny Bednarek, since their dynamic is quite complex.

“Yeah. We definitely had a conversation after that. After the track meet, we had to go to a room for a few hours and have a good, long talk because essentially that was assault right there,” Noah Lyles revealed.

“But I already know that once somebody's trying to put their hands on you, you already won the battle. It's very confusing. I'm not going to lie. He's the only person in the history of the sport to ever beat me twice. But every time he beat me, he's losing. So that's fair.”

While Noah Lyles has chosen to keep the deeper details private, his comments suggest the rift with Kenny Bednarek goes beyond the track.

For now, Noah Lyles is letting his performances do the talking, leaving fans to wonder if the full story will ever come to light.
