Fraser-Pryce has not raced since June 27 when she sealed her ticket to the Tokyo World Championships during the Jamaica National Championships with four Diamond League events held since then.

The 38-year-old has just run one Diamond League race this season, the Doha meeting in May, and Jamaicans are wondering how she is preparing for the World Championships without competitive races.

“She’s been a model, philanthropist and now a spectator. Everything but running,” one fan said when Fraser-Pryce was pictured attending a cricket match between the West Indies and Australia at Sabina Park.

“Won’t come as a shock to us. The only thing that would shock us is seeing her name entered for a meet and she shows up to the start line,” said another one sarcastically.

“We understand she’s setting her life up after running but ma’am Tokyo won’t run itself,” said Fraser-Pryce’s supporter while another one quipped, “Just one thing we ask of her.”

Fraser-Pryce has already announced that this will be her final year on track with her last race set to take place at the World Championships.

So far, she has only run outside Jamaica twice, the Doha Diamond League, as well as the World Athletic Relays Championships in Guangzhou, China both in May.
