Furious Tusker Fans Turn Heat on Coach After Embarrassing Loss to Sofapaka Sees Them Stagger Out of Title Race [VIDEO]

Tusker FC coach Charles Okere felt the full force of his team’s humiliating loss to Sofapaka when a section of the club’s supporters accosted him to demand for answers.

Tusker, who have been among the title contenders all season, staggered out of the race in embarrassing fashion when they were thrashed 7-1 by Sofapaka in what was the shocking result of the weekend.

Sofapaka were out of sight by halftime, having taken a 4-0 lead, before they completed the rout with three more goals after the break.

With Kenya Police winning to take their tally to 61 points with two games to go, Tusker, on 55 points, are all but out of contention as the maximum they can get is 61, but now have an inferior goal difference while the law enforcers just need one more win to be crowned for the first time.

That defeat did not go down well with Tusker fans, some who suspected foul play from the players, and at the final whistle, they gathered outside the Dandora Stadium dressing room demanding an audience with Okere.

The furious fans could be heard lamenting how Okere’s team had thrown away their advantage in the title race with the nature of their loss to Sofapaka heavily criticised.

Okere, meanwhile, turned to divine intervention as he digested the heavy loss.

“Indeed GODNIMSOO. #GOD Let your will be done,” Okere posted on Facebook.

Tusker have allowed their early season advantage to slip away in recent weeks with four wins in their last 10 games, but three draws and as many defeats during that period, has killed off their momentum.
