They managed to accumulate 79 runs after 41.5 overs, a challenge too huge for their opponents Uganda.

The Cricket Kenya Under-19 men’s team has reigned supreme in their game against Uganda at the ongoing International Cricket Council U19 Men's Cricket World Cup Africa qualifier being staged in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Team Kenya lost the toss and batted first. They managed to accumulate 79 runs after 41.5 overs, a challenge too huge for their opponents, team Uganda.

On their part, Uganda only managed 55 runs after 31.2 overs, rendering their opponents a win by 23 runs. This marks Team Kenya’s third victory since they began their campaign.

They opened their World Cup qualification chances against Tanzania. However, their match had to be abandoned due to a heavy downpour and they were forced to share the points.

Their second match was against Sierra Leone where the youngsters managed to carry the day by winning by four wickets. Sierra Leone won the toss and elected to bat first.

They managed 140 runs after 46.5 overs but Team Kenya were on a mission to victory. They surpassed the target after 40.2 overs after they had accumulated 141 runs.

In their match against Namibia, the youngsters could not keep the momentum with the South Africans as they gave them a run for their money. Team Kenya won the toss and elected to bat first but were not able to gather enough runs to pose a threat to their opponents.

They now head into their next match against Nigeria on Saturday, July 29 psyched up and ready to take the title.
