The Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) has announced a fresh start for the national sevens men's team, Shujaa, with a newly appointed technical bench.
After a disappointing relegation from the HSBC World Rugby Series earlier this year, the team is now gearing up for the Africa Cup in September with the hope of making a mark and securing their spot back in the prestigious World Series.
The KRU chairman, Alexander "Sasha" Mutai, expressed his confidence in the new team's abilities to lead Shujaa to victory and put past setbacks behind them.

The tactician added that they will also be able to enjoy the presence of all the national team players.
"As we all know Kenya Sevens got relegated and we are looking to get back but our first port of call is the Africa Cup, the Olympic Qualifiers in Harare," Mutai said.
Kevin Wambua has officially been selected as the head coach and he will be assisted by Louis Kisia who steps in as the assistant coach. Stephen Sawe has been appointed as the Team manager and Lamech Bogonko will step in as the Physiotherapist.
Andrew Amonde has been given the Strength and Conditioning role while Chris Brown will work as the Consultant Strength and Conditioning coach. Eric Ogweno has also been unveiled as the Team Liason.
Mutai added that they parted ways with former head coach Damian McGrath amicably and he noted that it was a smooth handover and he will not sue KRU.
"We met McGrath the other week and we agreed that we shall pay him three months in due of the notice. He has flown to London today and that's why he couldn't be here today.
