The team has also been awarded new kits from the Cricket Kenya Chairman, Manoj Patel.

Cricket Kenya men’s national team vice-captain Lucas Oluoch is wary of Uganda ahead of the Continental T-20 Cup set to commence on Friday 9 to Wednesday 21 June at the Gymkhana Club in Nairobi, Kenya.

The event has attracted teams from Rwanda, Botswana, and Uganda and Oluoch has singled out the Uganda Cranes as their main threat. Uganda and Kenya are set to lock horns for the first time in the 10-day tournament on Saturday, June 10.

Team Kenya will start their campaign against Rwanda, who are also a decent side and they might just be keen to give the Kenyans a run for their money.

“We have played all the other teams and we are confident of posting great results. However, the Ugandans pose as a great threat to our chances of playing well since they have more experience,” he said.

He added that they have been training well and just like Uganda, they also have some experienced players who have played in the international scene including captain Rakep Patel, Shem Ngoche, and Collins Obuya.

“So far, preparations have been okay and we have a bunch of experienced players and we have been working on our fitness levels. We have the skills. We are expecting to perform,” he said.

Meanwhile, the team has also been awarded new kits from the Cricket Kenya Chairman, Manoj Patel.
