Tusker trail Gor Mahia by 11 points with six games to go, but both Sakari and Asike believe anything is still possible until it is mathematically impossible.

Tusker FC's defensive duo Eugene Asike and Daniel Sakari, are rallying their teammates to give their all in the final stretch of the season as they refuse to relinquish their title aspirations.

Sitting in third place in the standings with 49 points, Tusker FC trails second-placed Police FC by just two points and leaders Gor Mahia by 11 points. Despite the gap, Asike and Sakari are determined to push their team to a strong finish.

"As a team, we have faith that we can make a good finish," Asike emphasised on the club’s April newsletter. "We have to keep together, fight as a team, and battle for every point. We have our pride to protect, and we will give our all."

Sakari echoes his teammate's sentiments, emphasizing the importance of fighting until the end. "It is never over until it is over," he stated

"Everyone is focused, everyone wants the best, and we have rallied ourselves together to ensure we get good results."

The team faced setbacks in April with back-to-back defeats denting their title hopes. However, they bounced back with a crucial 1-0 away win against Ulinzi Stars, lifting them to third in the standings and reigniting their hopes for a strong finish.

Their campaign in May started positively with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Nzoia Sugar, despite playing with 10 men in the second half. James Kibande's late header secured the vital three points, setting the tone for the remaining matches of the season.

Looking ahead, Tusker FC faces a challenging month with four matches lined up. They are prepared for tough duels against Murang’a Seal and Nairobi City Stars, knowing that every point is crucial in their pursuit of a higher position in the standings.

The climax of their season will be a decisive encounter against Kenya Police FC, a match that could play a significant role in the battle for second place.
