Kenya Police FC coach Etienne Ndayiragije is confident of ending Gor Mahia's dominance.

Kenya Police FC are on the verge of making history, with head coach Etienne Ndayiragije bullishly predicting that his side will lift their first ever FKF Premier League title on June 11.

A win or draw against Shabana at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos will seal the title and bring to an end the long-standing dominance of Gor Mahia and Tusker, who have traded league supremacy for the last 14 years.

Police Coach on Gor Mahia

Ndayiragije, who joined the club in 2024 when the Law Enforcers were struggling, has engineered a remarkable turnaround.

Speaking ahead of the Shabana clash, the Burundian tactician was confident slamming their title rivals.

“Gor Mahia have no chance of winning the league and not even a miracle can happen for us to miss out on the title. We are winning the league in the Shabana game. Gor, with their current squad, can’t beat my team," said the police coach as quoted by Nation Sports

The law enforcers currently sit top of the table with 61 points, six ahead of record champions Gor Mahia, who drew 1-1 against AFC Leopards on Monday in a crucial ‘Mashemeji’ derby.

Gor must win their remaining two matches, against Ulinzi Stars and Kenya Police on the final day and hope Police lose both games to reclaim the crown via goal difference.

At present, Gor’s goal difference is just two goals ahead of Police.

Ndayiragije has instilled a winning mentality and belief in a squad also guiding the team to the FKF Cup quarter-finals before bowing out on post-match penalties to Mara Sugar.

Though they missed out on that silverware, their focus is firmly on the league.

“The mood in our camp is of excitement and every player is happy we are on the verge of writing history. It has taken a lot of sacrifice and individual effort and now what remains is making it a reality in our next match,” Ndayiragije said.

Meanwhile, Gor Mahia still have the FKF Cup to fight for where they have reached the final and will face National Super League side Nairobi United.

Though still chasing a double, K'Ogalo’s chances of a league triumph appear all but gone, with their fate no longer in their control.
