New goalkeeper brings exceptional skills and determination to Muhoroni Youth for conquering new challenges.

Ugandan goalkeeper Michael Kagiri  has expressed his delight after joining Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) side Muhoroni Youth FC.

The shot-stopper, who recently guided Kitara FC back to the Uganda Premier League, inked a six-month deal with the club.

Kagiri, a commanding presence between the goalposts, brings a wealth of experience and skill to Muhoroni Youth.

His journey from grassroots to professional football has been well documented, with standout performances at various stages shaping his remarkable career.

Hailing from the Buganda Masaza Cup, where he clinched the Buwekula Ssaza Cup in 2016, Kagiri's talent caught the eye of scouts.

He went on to make a mark with Lweza Football Club in the 2017 Uganda Premier League season before embarking on an international stint with AS Nyuki in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Upon his return, Kagiri demonstrated his prowess with Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) during the 2018-2019 season.

Notably, his skills were then put to use with West Nile's Onduparaka for two consecutive seasons (2020/2021 and 2021/2022), showcasing his consistent performance and adaptability.

The past season (2022/2023) saw Kagiri's remarkable contribution to Kitara Football Club's promotion to the top flight.

Kagiri's arrival at Muhoroni  has been met with excitement, both from the player himself and the team's supporters.

In an interview Kagiri expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "I am excited to join Muhoroni Youth Football Club. Perhaps, it remains work in progress for me to reach greater heights in my professional career,” as per Kawowo Sports.

A modern-day goalkeeper, Kagiri possesses the ability to seamlessly integrate into the team's overall play.

His comfort with the ball at his feet enables him to distribute and restart play with finesse, employing a variety of techniques including long throws, drop kicks, short passes, and long passes.

As he steps into the semi-professional football scene in Kenya, all eyes are fixed on Kagiri to see how he navigates the challenges and progresses in his career.
