Migori Youth FC patron Mark Nyamita has expressed unwavering confidence ahead of the highly anticipated promotion/relegation playoffs against Wazito FC.

With this being their first time at this stage, Migori are filled with confidence and eager to secure a place in the top-tier.

In an interview, Nyamita expressed the team's excitement and called upon their loyal fans to show their unwavering support.

“For us, this is a new one because it is the first time we are playing at this stage. We are upbeat, we are confident, and we ask our fans to come out in large numbers. We want to make Wazito wawe wepesi," said Nyamita, exuding enthusiasm and determination.

Migori Youth's remarkable journey has brought them to this pivotal moment following an exceptional performance throughout the 2022/23 National Super League (NSL) season.

Under the coaching of Kevin Oluoch, the team finished third on the table with an impressive 62 points, and they are now poised to make history by securing promotion to the top-tier league for the first time ever.

On the other side of the battle stands Wazito FC, a team fighting to avoid relegation after a challenging season.

Having finished 16th in last season's FKF Premier League, Wazito finds themselves in a precarious situation.

Their determination to remain in the top flight will undoubtedly make this clash a thrilling encounter.

The playoff fixtures have been set, with the first leg scheduled to take place at the spirited Migori Stadium on Saturday, July 15.

The home advantage will undoubtedly play a crucial role for Migori Youth, as they aim to secure a favorable result to take into the second leg.

However, the battle is far from over, as Wazito will host Migori Youth at the formidable Muhoroni Stadium on July 22 for the second leg.

This match will be the ultimate test for both teams, as they leave it all on the field to determine the aggregate winner, who will earn the coveted 18th spot in the FKF Premier League next season.
