Manchester United defender Raphael Varane has confirmed that he will be leaving the club after three injury-ravaged years at the Premier League club.

Raphael Varane has officially confirmed his departure from Manchester United at the end of the season, as his contract with the club expires.

The French defender, who joined the Red Devils from Real Madrid in August 2021, will bid farewell to Old Trafford after three seasons.

Varane's arrival at Manchester United was met with great anticipation, and he was famously unveiled in front of the home fans at the Theatre of Dreams before the opening-weekend victory over Leeds United.

Throughout his tenure, Varane has been a symbol of class and experience, making 93 appearances for the club.

One of the highlights of Varane's time at United was his contribution to winning the 2023 Carabao Cup, where he played a key role in shutting out Newcastle United in a 2-0 triumph alongside Lisandro Martinez.

His impact extended beyond his defensive duties, as he notably found the back of the net twice during his tenure, scoring against Brentford and Wolves.

Despite facing a recent absence due to injury since the 4-3 defeat to Chelsea on April 4, Varane remains committed to his recovery and aims to return to action before the end of the current campaign.

Manchester United fans will have the opportunity to see him in action in upcoming Premier League matches against Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion, as well as in the Emirates FA Cup final against Manchester City on May 25.

As Varane prepares to depart, the club expresses its gratitude for his service and wishes him well in his future endeavors. His contributions on and off the field have left an indelible mark on Manchester United, and he will be fondly remembered by supporters.
