Marcus Rashford has expressed his admiration for Lamine Yamal as he insisted on his dream move to Barcelona.

Marcus Rashford has publicly expressed his desire to play alongside Barcelona's rising star, Lamine Yamal, amidst ongoing speculation about his future at Manchester United.

Marcus Rashford's interest in a move to Barcelona is well-documented. His brother and representative, Dwaine Maynard, reportedly met with Barcelona sporting director Deco last month to discuss a potential £40 million transfer.

While Barcelona's current focus seems to be on Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams, Marcus Rashford further fueled the rumours during a conversation with Spanish influencer Javi Ruiz in Marbella.

When asked about the prospect of playing with Lamine Yamal, Rashford responded, "Of course I'd love to. Everyone wants to play with the best. Hopefully... we'll see."

Rashford's relationship with United manager Ruben Amorim appears strained, making a move to Spain a priority. "Spain is nice, and it's not too far from home," Rashford added.

Deco previously acknowledged Barcelona's interest in both Marcus Rashford and Liverpool's Luis Diaz. The meeting with Maynard in Barcelona further solidified the club's apparent interest in the United forward.

With three years remaining on his contract, Marcus Rashford's time at Old Trafford seems to be nearing its end, especially under Amorim's management.

After spending the latter half of the season on loan at Aston Villa, United are reportedly open to offers around £40 million, eager to offload his £315,000-a-week salary.

However, Barcelona's pursuit of Williams presents a potential obstacle to Marcus Rashford's desired move. Personal terms have reportedly been agreed upon with Williams, and manager Hansi Flick is keen to secure the talented winger.

This leaves United in a difficult position as pre-season training approaches, with both club and player seemingly seeking a separation. Any transfer fee received for Marcus Rashford would be pure profit for United under Financial Fair Play regulations.

Marcus Rashford, capped 62 times by England, is believed to be targeting Champions League football to bolster his chances of making Thomas Tuchel's World Cup squad next summer. While called up by Thomas Tuchel in March, a hamstring injury sidelined him for the recent international fixtures.
