Marcus Rashford doubts he will play for Manchester United again under Amorim, delaying future talks while thriving on loan at Aston Villa.

Marcus Rashford has cast serious doubt on his future at Manchester United, with sources close to the player suggesting he is unlikely to play for the club again while Ruben Amorim remains in charge.

The England forward, currently on loan at Aston Villa, has impressed during his short stint at Villa Park, but his long-term club allegiance appears uncertain.

Rashford, whose United contract runs until 2028, has made a strong impression since joining Villa on loan in February.

The forward has scored four goals and provided six assists in 17 appearances, contributing significantly to Unai Emery’s side as they push for Champions League qualification and prepare for an FA Cup semi-final showdown against Crystal Palace.

"I couldn't get Marcus to see the way you're supposed to play football and to train the way I see it," Amorim said as per BBC.

The forward was left out of matchday squads entirely after December, apart from a single appearance on the bench in a 1-0 home defeat to Newcastle.

While the possibility of a return to Old Trafford remains contractually feasible, insiders close to Rashford suggest there is no clear path back into the first-team picture under Amorim.

The Portuguese manager is focused on reshaping the squad to fit his style of play and is working with the United hierarchy to balance the club’s finances amid growing expectations.

Rashford's resurgence at Villa, highlighted by a standout performance against Paris Saint-Germain and his overall influence on the pitch, has made him an attractive option for potential suitors.

However, his substantial wages mean only a handful of clubs could realistically afford him. United had to partially subsidize his salary to make the Villa move possible, a situation that could repeat if a permanent transfer isn’t arranged.

Villa manager Unai Emery has been cautious when speaking about Rashford's long-term future but praised the forward’s impact.

"I am so happy with him. He is performing very well. His adaptation has been quick and his commitment to the process is really important for us and for him. He needs to keep going and on Saturday, hopefully he can help again."

Despite speculation, Rashford is not in a rush to decide his next move. Those close to the 27-year-old indicate he has ruled out a move to London and prefers a club with Champions League ambitions.

He is not considering a role in any potential swap deals, including the rumored interest from United in Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze.

Sources say Rashford does not intend to discuss his future until mid-June, after the season has concluded. His camp remains confident that there will be “significant interest” from top clubs across Europe once the transfer window opens.
