The former Manchester United captain explained why Arsenal has a chance against PSG in the second leg of their semifinal match in Paris.

Arsenal will face off against Paris Saint-Germain FC in a tight UEFA Champions League semifinal match on Wednesday night.

The match is crucial for both sides since it will determine the team that will proceed to the final, with PSG already having an advantage, but Manchester United legend Gary Neville thinks otherwise.

The first leg of the match at the Emirates saw PSG score in the fourth minute courtesy of Ousmane Dembele. In the dramatic match, a Mikel Merino header was ruled out for offside.

PSG also rested on their laurels a bit as Bradley Barcola and Goncalo Ramos missed huge scoring opportunities. Now the two sides meet again at the Parc des Princes in Paris, with Arsenal looking to bounce back, but PSG will obviously not be taken down without a fight.

Despite various statistics showing that PSG have a huge chance against Arsenal, Gary Neville believes the opposite is true.

Arsenal have yet to win a Champions League trophy, and fighting hard to be in the final would mean the Gunners are getting closer to making history.

However, PSG have also won the trophy once and adding another accolade to their trophy cabinet would be the goal.

Gary Neville revealed that playing at home, PSG always strive to be the better side and when things go wrong, they end up panicking and might mess things up more.

“Arsenal have got a chance on Wednesday. It's a completely different game, obviously. But you can go there and cause some shocks,” Gary Neville said as quoted by Sky Sports.

“I've been there a couple of times and seen Real Madrid win there, and I saw Manchester United win there. PSG get very nervous if the wrong things happen for them in that stadium.”

Gary Neville advised Arsenal to hang in there and control the game to give PSG a headache. He revealed that if they stick to that, then they might just make PSG struggle at home.

He revealed that there is a lot of pressure on PSG to make the final, and playing at home would mean the pressure would increase and might eventually make them lose the match.

"It's going to be difficult. It was a great performance by PSG at the Emirates, and it wasn't a great performance by Arsenal the other night. But Arsenal will be better,” Gary Neville said.

"If they can stay in that game in the final 15 to 20 minutes, then they have a chance. I think the worry for Arsenal on Saturday was that they played their strongest side and still lost. I genuinely think Arsenal can do it.”

He opened up about the importance of the match for Arsenal, since they lost three of their matches in the build-up to their do-or-die semifinal. Mikel Arteta named a strong team to face Bournemouth, but they ended up losing 2-1.

However, he still backed them to get the job done against PSG and impress in their remaining Premier League matches and finish second in the Premier League table.

They are currently second with 67 points, just three ahead of Manchester City, who are third. Liverpool leads the table with 82 points.

"I do think they'll finish the job and finish second in the league. It's a very big game for Arsenal, and it is a season-defining game. It could be career-defining,” he said.

"Those types of games - coming back from 1-0 behind away from home against PSG - is something that ultimately, with what they did in the quarter-final against Real Madrid, will be an incredible achievement."

With everything on the line, Arsenal enter the second leg against PSG with pressure mounting and history within reach, backed by Gary Neville’s belief.

They will need to compose themselves, have resilience and a bit of magic to turn the tie around and keep their Champions League dream alive.
