French champions PSG have suffered a setback following their Champions League triumph over Arsenal on Tuesday.

A solitary Ousmane Dembele goal helped the Luis Enrique-coached side secure a much-needed first-leg advantage.

Dembele, who proved to be PSG’s hero, faces uncertainty ahead of the return leg at the Parc des Princes.

Following his early opener in the fourth minute, the forward continued to terrorise the Arsenal defence with his deadly runs in behind.

However, his game was cut short when he appeared to be in discomfort and was withdrawn in the 70th minute.

PSG manager Luis Enrique confirmed that the former Barcelona star sustained an injury that could rule him out of the second leg.

“We're going to try to get Dembele back on the pitch, but we're a real team. If Ousmane can play, that's better. But if he doesn't, we'll still be a real team. We've been saying that since the start of the season,” said Enrique, as quoted by Sky Sports.

The Spaniard confirmed that Dembele will undergo medical tests on Wednesday.

Enrique, however, expressed optimism that his side can cope if the eventuality arises that the forward will miss the second leg at Parc des Princes.

All To Play For In The Return Leg

Despite a first-leg advantage for PSG, the second leg still hangs in the balance, as Arsenal can still mount a comeback.

The Gunners managed an away win over Real Madrid, securing a 2-1 victory at the Bernabeu.

Mikel Arteta’s men will need that same spark if they are to mount a comeback against PSG.

“We have to go to Paris and win the game. We are more than capable of doing it because I saw two very good teams with margins that are so small. They had efficiency in front of goal and their keeper as well made a difference to see the result,” said Arteta.

The English side will take comfort from the fact that PSG lost their quarter-final return leg against Aston Villa.
