Former Harambee Stars striker Jesse Were has sent a message to Upcoming players seeking to carve a path to success in the world of football 

Were who is revered for his prowess on the pitch and his invaluable contributions to the game in Kenya, Zambia and Africa.

Were's journey to prominence began in the Kenyan Premier League, where he soared to prominence with Tusker FC, clinching the coveted Golden Boot in 2015 with an impressive tally of 22 goals.

 His goal-scoring prowess caught the attention of Zesco United, a powerhouse in the Zambian Super League, leading to a lucrative move to the Ndola-based club.

During his tenure with Zesco United, Were solidified his status as one of the finest strikers in the league, amassing over one hundred goals in both league and cup competitions.

 His remarkable achievements earned him the moniker 'King Jesse' among fans and peers alike.

Despite his formidable performances at the club level, Were's journey with the national team saw mixed fortunes, garnering over thirty caps but falling short of significant breakthroughs. 

Nevertheless, his impact on both Kenyan and Zambian football remains undeniable, with his legacy transcending borders.

In an exclusive interview with club media, Were imparted invaluable advice to aspiring footballers, emphasizing the virtues of discipline, hard work, and faith. 

"They work hard and be disciplined on and off the pitch. Being prayerful is good as well," remarked the seasoned striker, encapsulating the ethos that has propelled him to success.
