Ochieng will spend the next three months trialing with the club in the hope he can secure a deal.

Jon Okok Ochieng, a rising Kenyan talent, is currently undergoing a three-month trial at Turkish Premier League outfit Fatih Karagumruk.

The teenager, who showcases his skills as a centre back and can also fill the role of a defensive midfielder, is vying for a spot on the U19 roster of Fatih Karagumruk.

According to his father and manager Paul Ochieng, Jon has shown promising signs since arriving in Turkey two weeks ago.

He is not only catching the eye of Fatih Karagumruk but is also being considered by the junior team of another Turkish club, Sivasspor.

"He has been in Turkey for two weeks now and has adapted well so far. He will train with the club for three months and hopefully sign at the beginning of the season," Ochieng said as quoted on Mozzart Sport.

Jon's football journey has seen him previously represent Kibra Elite Soccer Academy (KESA) and Ligi Ndogo.

His older brother, Jan Ochieng, aged 21 and currently part of Dutch lower-tier club CSV Apeldoorn, also underwent trials at Fatih Karagumruk earlier this year.

Addressing Jan's trial earlier in the year, his father emphasized the possibility of a future move, while affirming Jan's commitment to CSV Apeldoorn for the time being.
