Thomas Frank is among the three potential managers to replace Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham Hotspur.

Brentford manager Thomas Frank has emerged as the leading candidate to replace Ange Postecoglou as Tottenham Hotspur's head coach.

According to Sky Sports News, Tottenham are looking to move swiftly following Ange Postecoglou's unexpected departure on Friday evening.

While Thomas Frank is the current favourite, no formal discussions have yet taken place with Brentford. The Danish manager reportedly has a release clause in his contract.

An approach from Tottenham Hotspur is expected, though it has not materialised yet. The new Tottenham manager will have an immediate opportunity to win silverware, with the UEFA Super Cup clash against Paris Saint-Germain scheduled for August 13 in Udine, Italy.

Thomas Frank has been at the helm of Brentford since October 2018, leading them to Premier League promotion in 2021. He has since solidified their top-flight status, achieving 13th, 9th, 16th, and 10th-place finishes in their four seasons. Last season, Brentford even challenged for a European spot.

During his tenure, Thomas Frank has overseen victories against all the major Premier League clubs, including a memorable win against Arsenal in their first top-flight game and an away victory at Chelsea.

Speaking to Sky Sports about interest from Manchester United, Thomas Frank said: "Maybe things will happen. I said the whole time I'm very happy here. If something new will happen, then I need to look at that and then I need to take a decision on that, but right now I'm just happy here.

"The interesting thing is I maybe have one of the best football jobs in the world. I mean that, because the work environment is so good. It's such a good owner, it's such a good club. That's the thing, do I like to try something in the future? Maybe, but it's not like I need to try something bigger or better because what is better? Who knows?"

Tottenham Hotspur Also Targeting Marco Silva and Andoni Iraola

However, Frank is not the only contender, as Tottenham Hotspur are also reportedly admirers of Fulham manager Marco Silva and Bournemouth's manager, Andoni Iraola.

Silva guided Fulham to an 11th-place finish last season, narrowly missing out on European qualification, and also led them to the FA Cup quarter-finals for the second consecutive year.

Iraola, meanwhile, impressed at Bournemouth, leading them to a club-record points tally in the Premier League and a ninth-place finish. He also steered them to the FA Cup quarter-finals.
