The winger's freekick was enough to make Ulinzi share the spoils with Kenya Police.

Ulinzi Stars marauding winger Stephen Etyang' believes he is up to the task of handling the creative burden after playing a key part in helping the club avoid defeat against Kenya Police FC.

The Law Enforcers had gone a goal up through Elvis Machapo Rupia who netted his 22nd goal of the league season, but Etyang’s goal spared the blushes of Ulinzi as he scored a sublime freekick.

Former Tusker winger Boniface Muchiri is the player usually tasked with handling dead-ball situations and creating chances out of nothing, but he picked up a knock during their match against his former employers last weekend in the FKF Cup.

“It has been a bit up and down at Ulinzi so far mostly due to injuries,” he said. “This was my first goal for Ulinzi but against worthy opponents in the Disciplined Forces Derby,” he added.

“Muchiri is usually the expert at dead ball situations but he is injured at the moment so I have been given the responsibility, but trust me, I am up to the task!

“I think if we finish the season on a high, it will give us a good platform to settle and regroup for next season.”

Etyang signed for Ulinzi Stars from Kakamega Homeboyz in the mid-season transfer window of the 2021-2022 campaign.
