Cristiano Ronaldo’s new contract at Al-Nassr includes some staggering details that could see him earn £500 million in just two years.

Cristiano Ronaldo's new two-year contract with Al-Nassr is reportedly the most lucrative in sports history, clocking in at a staggering £492 million.

Confirmation of the new contract arrived on Thursday, ending months of speculation about Ronaldo's future. Last month, the former Real Madrid star sparked rumors of a departure with a cryptic social media post, hinting that a "chapter" was over.

This fueled speculation, further amplified by FIFA, that he might join a club competing in the Club World Cup. However, after Portugal's Nations League victory, the 40-year-old confirmed his return to Al-Nassr.

Ronaldo announced the news on X (formerly Twitter), stating, "A new chapter begins. Same passion, same dream. Let's make history together."

He scored 35 goals in 41 appearances last season, securing the Saudi Pro League's Golden Boot for the second consecutive year. With 99 goals in 111 appearances for Al-Nassr, he is closing in on his milestone of 1,000 career goals, currently standing at 938.

The Portuguese superstar, who joined the Saudi Pro League club in December 2022 after leaving Manchester United, has reportedly received a significant pay raise to stay with the team.

According to The Sun, the contract also includes a "dream ambassador" role for Saudi Arabia, potentially pushing his total earnings over £500 million over the next two years.

Ronaldo will reportedly receive a £24.5 million signing bonus, increasing to £38 million if he activates the second year of his contract.

Ownership Stake in Al-Nassr

He has also reportedly been granted a 15% ownership stake in the club, valued at £33 million. With potential bonuses for winning the Golden Boot and the Saudi Pro League, Ronaldo could earn over half a billion pounds by the end of the deal.

Al-Nassr to Spend £1.4 million on CR7’s Staff

The Sun also reports that Al-Nassr will cover the costs for 16 full-time staff for Ronaldo and his family, including drivers, housekeepers, chefs, gardeners, and security personnel, totaling around £1.4 million.
